Overlooking TriBeCa and all of New York City on a quite polar but sunny afternoon, there is no better energy than experiencing all of downtown, influencers, and the most elitist of editors congregating to celebrate and witness Brooklyn’s golden boy show

This season the DNA of LUAR fully bloomed into a language the alternatives and capitalists could fully comprehend, admire, and desire to purchase immediately.

AW19 was inspired by the freethinking mentality of pre + post Y2K. A time when fabulousness, opulence, luxury, and off kilter thinking was a way of life. A time when your home girl built of all legs marries a French Bourgeois and uses his resources to finance her aesthetic. The economy was great and the capitalist mentality to take over the world resulted in cropped mink and fox fur capes worn with a negligée Energy that all your MySpace friends craved to wear.

This collection consisted of the most succulent furs LUAR Designed in partnership with SAGA FURS, the mink underwent a special dye process to matriculate the greys, blues, whites, and browns that pop out and shape a unique pattern as well as a monogramed calligraphy of the inverted namesake designer. The fur capsule included fur gloves, fox fur bands, capes, lining of blouses, and the most eye catching Intarsia print that most importantly included a consistency of blue. Royal blue touched carried throughout the knits and a fur because all humans bleed blue, to reflect a time when all classes, sexes and creeds mixed.

The tailoring was luxuriously executed in deconstructed post gender play on proportions, bonding, draping, pinstriped details layered with twill + mesh all of which was the most impressive matriculation of the LUAR DNA. Sustaining the houses staple silhouettes but with finesse. Bondage and the depiction to be set free also lived as Belts played a consistent detail throughout. Patchwork leather, smocking and hand stitched printing were other power components.

Bejeweled glasses, Theatrical hats, and the comeback of the Iconic Cynthia handbag debut in clear, to showcase MAC cosmetics as well as mini mink options.
